What is the Opportunity?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Applications Engineer with extensive knowledge in the sale of capital equipment, products, and services to the bio-pharmaceutical industry. The candidate will be a disciplined, competitive, technical sales professional.
The role can be based near Los Angeles or Philadelphia locations and requires 25% or more travel.
What is the role?
- Develop and maintain Ovivo/Wastech sales activities and bio-pharmaceutical customer relationships within the United States.
- Generate project leads to support US operations including development of new customer contacts, communication with existing corporate accounts, tradeshows presence, coverage of engineering and construction management firms, social media involvement, and input on marketing materials.
- Collaborate with other personnel to create capital equipment proposals, refine sales strategies, define market trends, and update internal database tools.
- Collaborate with global colleagues as needed.
- Support post-order activities including project scope clarification, change proposal development, purchase order review, parts and service order oversight to maintain the long, successful relationships we have with our customers.
Does this sound like you?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with extensive technical experience is required.
- Previous sales experience with capital equipment is a plus.
- A minimum of Eight 8 years of related experience in the bio-pharmaceutical industry.
- An understanding of clean utility systems including, but not limited to: WFI, USP Purified, clean steam, CIP, SIP, compressed air and gases.
- Ability to multitask projects without sacrificing attention to detail.
- High aptitude to absorb, retain and utilize learned technical information to incorporate into future sales activities and proposals.
