This position will be located in Plano, Texas.
What is the role?
- Reading and understanding detailed drawings.
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications.
- Ensure that all of the required materials for fabrication are present.
- Inspect all work to ensure the highest quality products are produced.
- Ensuring all safety and health standards are adhered to.
- Keep work areas clean and safe.
- Offer ideas and methods to increase productivity.
- Attending safety training as required.
- Communicate regularly with Shop Foreman/Production Manager regarding problems, concerns and needs.
- Other tasks as assigned by Shop Foreman/Production Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Does this sound like you?
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Greater than 5 years' experience working in an industrial fab shop environment utilizing industrial equipment.
- MIG/TIG welding is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of fabrication drawings.
- Experience with various industrial equipment such as Bandsaws, Drill Press, Mill (non-DRO), Ironworker (punch), Grinders, Fork Truck, etc...
- Proven track record regarding safety and high-volume production.
- Strong working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Must be able to communicate verbally on a technical level, demonstrated interpersonal skills.
