What is the Opportunity?

Cembrane USA is looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Procurement Manager to join our team. Cembrane is the world's largest manufacturer of Silicon Carbide membranes, revolutionizing water treatment. As production ramps up to meet demand, we need to grow our team. Cembrane plans to grow production three times by 2028.

As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will be driving procurement strategy, securing deals with key suppliers, and optimizing our sourcing for a manufacturing services business. You will also be involved partnering with our management team to maintain financial controls and inventory management procedures to provide insights that support our mission to preserve water - our planet's most critical resource.

You'll collaborate with worldwide experts in water treatment, working closely with senior executives to align procurement and financial goals with Ovivo's commitment to sustainability.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on negotiation and supplier management but can also handle budgets, reporting, and operational KPIs. This role will also work closely and supervise our Finance Team in Denmark.

The role is based in our Hutto, TX facility.

What is the role?

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of periodic, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for submission to our Corporate Head Office in Canada (under IFRS and Ovivo policies).
• Approve financial and management reports summarizing income, expenses, and earnings, including budgets and forecasts, based on past and expected operations.
• Manage company working capital and provide cash flow updates to the corporate Treasury team.
• Facilitate budget preparation and sign-off with the management team, offering financial insights to support strategic decisions.
• Develop and monitor operational KPIs (e.g., yield, waste) and analyze production costs, variances, and margins to enhance efficiency.
• Oversee financial reporting and accounting for our Denmark operations, working with the local team.
• Lead global procurement activities, negotiating and securing cost-effective deals with key suppliers, including equipment and raw material providers.
• Develop and execute strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing operations in Texas and Denmark.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, aligning procurement practices with corporate risk management expectations.
• Collaborate with operations to analyze raw material costs, work-in-progress (WIP), and inventory needs, driving improvements in supply chain processes.
• Oversee procurement alignment between our Texas and Denmark facilities, ensuring consistent processes and supplier performance.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Ovivo's ERP system (SyteLine/CSI010) with a focus on procurement and inventory modules.
• Support the Operations Manager and Senior Vice President with strategies to boost profitability, blending procurement and financial perspectives.
• Provide data for corporate tax, insurance, and treasury needs as required.

Does this sound like you?

• Minimum 10 years of experience with strong expertise in procurement (e.g., supplier negotiations, supply chain management) and solid grounding in finance/accounting.
• Manufacturing experience, ideally in a global corporate environment.
• Proven ability to multi-task and take ownership in a dynamic, small-company setting.
• Passion for sustainability and teamwork.
• Foster a positive company culture through collaboration and leadership.
• Public accounting experience or CPA is a plus but not required.
